The artwork used in the header throughout our website is by artist Margaret Pope, the Steering Committee Chairperson of the Sonoran Desert Florilegium Program. It is a colored pencil portrait of Cylindropuntia fulgida, or the Chainfruit cholla, a branching, tree-like cactus native to the Sonoran Desert.
